Covid-19 LIVE Updates: India has reported a record spike of 1,26,789 fresh cases and 685 deaths in the past 24 hours. Meanwhile, the lastest city to impose a night curfew amid the rising Covid-19 cases is Lucknow. Night curfew will be imposed in areas under the Lucknow Municipal Corporation from Thursday till April 16 at a time when Uttar Pradesh recorded over 6,000 fresh Covid-19 cases. As Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh urged the Centre for more vaccine doses and cried a shortage in supply, the Centre refuted the claims of vaccine scarcity. The Centre went on to allow vaccination at workplaces with about 100 eligible beneficiaries from April 11. The Centre has also shot a letter to Delhi, Maharashtra and Punjab asking these states to improve their "below-par" vaccination drive.
